Arrival in Marrakech is expected during the evening, although traffic, weather, road conditions, and group timing may affect the exact return time.

Zagora’s desert is characterized by rocky plains, open horizons, and smaller dune formations rather than the sweeping, towering dunes found around Merzouga. Marrakech to Zagora
Although Marrakech and Zagora may appear relatively close on a map, the journey crosses the High Atlas Mountains and follows winding roads through remote areas. Travel times can therefore feel longer than expected, and the itinerary should be approached as a scenic road journey rather than a quick transfer to the camp.
The shared vehicle makes coordinated stops for sightseeing, meals, and comfort breaks. Because guests are traveling as a group, departure times and the length of each stop must be respected. The driver may adjust the order or duration of certain visits to account for road conditions, seasonal daylight, weather, or delays encountered along the route.
Temperatures can change considerably during the journey. Mountain mornings may be cool even when Marrakech is warm, while summer temperatures around Zagora can be intense. Desert evenings can become surprisingly cold, particularly in winter. Comfortable layers, sun protection, sunglasses, walking shoes, and a small overnight bag are recommended.
Lunches, drinks, tips, and optional local guiding are not included. Cash is useful because smaller restaurants, cafés, and rural businesses may not accept cards. Breakfast and dinner are provided at the desert camp.
Guests should bring only what they need for the night into the camp. Larger luggage can usually remain secured with the vehicle, subject to the driver’s instructions and the day’s operating arrangements.

The Basic Camp is the most economical option and is intended for travelers prioritizing price over comfort. Facilities are very simple, extras are minimal, and sleeping arrangements are assigned in a hostel-style tent rather than guaranteed as a private tent. This category offers a rustic desert overnight at the lowest available price point.
The Classic Camp includes a private tent for your booking. Bathroom and shower facilities are shared with other camp guests. It provides greater privacy than the Basic Camp while maintaining a traditional and relatively simple desert-camp experience.
The Deluxe Camp offers a more comfortable private tent with an en-suite bathroom inside the tent. Dinner and breakfast are also slightly upgraded compared with the Basic and Classic options. Although this category provides additional privacy and comfort, it remains a remote desert camp rather than a conventional hotel.
Across all camp levels, services such as hot water, electricity, water pressure, and internet access may be limited or inconsistent. Tents do not have conventional air-conditioning or central heating, and desert temperatures can be very hot during the day and surprisingly cold overnight. Sand, dust, and insects are also natural possibilities in this environment.
