End: Marrakech
Drop off at or near your Riad/hotel in central Marrakech.

Day 1: Marrakech - Essaouira - Marrakech

Driving Time: Approximately 6 hours round trip

Your day begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech, heading west towards Essaouira. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Haouz plains, with a chance to stop at an argan cooperative along the way. Here, you can learn about the traditional process of producing argan oil and browse locally made products.

Upon arrival in Essaouira, begin your exploration with a stroll along the town’s picturesque harbor, where colorful fishing boats bob in the water and freshly caught seafood is sold at the bustling market. Continue to the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its narrow alleys, whitewashed buildings with blue accents, and artisanal shops offering handcrafted jewelry, leather goods, and woodwork.

Visit the Skala de la Ville, a fortified sea wall offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the town. For lunch, savor freshly grilled seafood at a local restaurant by the harbor. In the afternoon, take time to relax on the sandy beach or explore Essaouira’s vibrant art galleries and workshops.

Return to Marrakech in the early evening, reflecting on the day’s coastal charm and cultural discoveries.
