We were picked up in Marrakech, made numerous stops at interesting points along the drive to Zagora (where we spent the first night). The hotel we stayed at was really lovely and secluded.

Then the highlight was the excursion to Erg Chegaga. Mohammad had the great idea to do a picnic in the Sahara rather than another restaurant lunch. So we stopped at a butcher and bought lamb chop and grilled them on our own in the middle of the Sahara!

The accommodations at Erg Chagaga were lovely. As was the camel riding and star gazing at night.

My only recommendation to a future traveler is go for longer than 3 days/2 nights if you can. I wish I had had at least 1 more day in the desert.

Making forever friends in the desert - Simply put, an amazing experience. The stops on our way to Erg Chebbi were beautiful and awe-inspiring. The history and landscapes were amazing, but our guide-turned-BFF, Mohamed took the experience to the next level. He was such a kind and generous person. We instantly became friends and this trip wouldn't have become what it was without him. He was funny and fun loving. As a Berber nomad himself growing up, his personal stories helped us understand what life in the desert is like. He didn't just take us places, he actively joined in on our experience and it made everything so much more fun and wonderful.

I will miss the vistas, red sand and sunsets, but more than anything I will miss spending time with Moha. It's rare to make friends of this caliber in real life, let alone on a four day tour. Shukran Habibi. Till we meet again.

The tent camp was extremely Nice . You could do Some sandboarding ! Really big fun for the kids ! The food was good ! Even the showers were Nice although we were in a tentcamp. At the evening there was Some live music and people starter dancing . The next day we went back by camel to our van to go back to marrakesh. This all was in good hands by our guide .

An awesome action packed adventure!  - This was such a fun and action packed trip. We saw so many interesting and beautiful sights and had so many adventures! There were many highlights but top ones include the most delicious lunch in a Berber family kasbah (best bread ever), seeing how Berber rugs are made at a cooperative and haggling for a small one, camel ride, tented camp, sand surfing and quad bikes in the Sahara, visiting Nomads in the desert and eating Nomad pizza, walking (& climbing) through the Monkey Fingers in the Dades Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou & the Atlas Studios .I could go on! We loved every minute and arrived back in Marrakech exhausted but very happy. If you are doing this trip we advise a day or two to relax afterwards!! Best Guides and Tours Around!!! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - What an amazing day!! We were picked up right on time from an easy to find location arranged in advance. Our driver, Ismail was friendly, helpful, knowledgable and fun. He... read more took us out of Marrakesh and towards the Ouzoud Waterfalls. Along the way he took the time to tell us about the area, the people and even (tried to) teach us some basic phrases. We stopped briefly for coffee/tea and bathrooms and then continued on. Once we arrived to the waterfalls he asked if we would prefer a private guide for the hike and made sure that we were in capable hands.

It was raining the day of our tour which meant the trail was a little more difficult, but our guide was extremely helpful... even offering a helping hand when we got to some of the more muddy areas on the trail down. We stopped to see the monkeys and then went on through the olive and fig trees. He was extremely knowledgable and answered all the questions we might have. Once we reached the base of the falls we were able to go out on the water in a small boat and we joked that it reminded us of the "Lady of the Mist" boat at Niagra because we were able to get so close to the falls.

On the way back up there were small shops and even some restaurants to have lunch at. Once we were back at the top Ismail was waiting for us to bring us back to Marrakech. Along the way we needed to use the toilet and he stopped multiple times until he found us a western style toilet!!!

These guys went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience! 10/10 recommend booking with them. We will definitely be taking another tour with Discover Sahara Tours the next time we are in Morocco!!
