The trip took around 2h and half from... read more Marrakech to Essaouira. We did stop where is the goats in argan tree and also to the argan production shop to see how they transform the argan fruit to other products.
Then we arrived in Essaouira were our guide was waiting us. We had around 1h and half with him and he left us in the local restaurant. That’s the only thing that I didn’t like. Even though, food was good I preferred to chose the place I go to eat.
After this lunch stop, we had few hours by our selves to discover the city.
At 16:00 we met our driver to go back to Marrakech.
Before arriving Marrakech we did stop in a small local restaurant where you can have some drinks or go to toilet. Looks like all the tour company’s stop at the same restaurant.
In general it was really nice day tour and the service we’ve paid was worthy.

Our tour operator, Ismail, was a great driver and guide throughout the entire journey.

I am so glad we decided to go with four days vs a three day tour. Being in the car was not as stressful and tiring, and an extra day in the Sahara was great to have a slower day before a long drive back to Marrakech.

In speaking with other travelers in different tour groups, they seemed to be really on the go/nonstop, which felt too stressful if you had an extra day. So, I'd highly recommend this four-day tour!

There were many highlights but top ones include the most delicious lunch in a Berber family kasbah (best bread ever), seeing how Berber rugs are made at a cooperative and haggling for a small one, camel ride, tented camp, sand surfing and quad bikes in the Sahara, visiting Nomads in the desert and eating Nomad pizza, walking (& climbing) through the Monkey Fingers in the Dades Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou & the Atlas Studios .I could go on! We loved every minute and arrived back in Marrakech exhausted but very happy. If you are doing this trip we advise a day or two to relax afterwards!! Highly recommend!  - Very well organised tour, with lots of stops so we didn't get tired of driving for too long. The tent camp was extremely Nice . You could do Some sandboarding ! Really big fun for the kids ! The food was good ! Even the showers were Nice although we were in a tentcamp. At the evening there was Some live music and people starter dancing . The next day we went back by camel to our van to go back to marrakesh. This all was in good hands by our guide .

We were picked up in Marrakech, made numerous stops at interesting points along the drive to Zagora (where we spent the first night). The hotel we stayed at was really lovely and secluded.

Then the highlight was the excursion to Erg Chegaga. Mohammad had the great idea to do a picnic in the Sahara rather than another restaurant lunch. So we stopped at a butcher and bought lamb chop and grilled them on our own in the middle of the Sahara!

The accommodations at Erg Chagaga were lovely. As was the camel riding and star gazing at night.

My only recommendation to a future traveler is go for longer than 3 days/2 nights if you can. I wish I had had at least 1 more day in the desert.
