There were many highlights but top ones include the most delicious lunch in a Berber family kasbah (best bread ever), seeing how Berber rugs are made at a cooperative and haggling for a small one, camel ride, tented camp, sand surfing and quad bikes in the Sahara, visiting Nomads in the desert and eating Nomad pizza, walking (& climbing) through the Monkey Fingers in the Dades Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou & the Atlas Studios .I could go on! We loved every minute and arrived back in Marrakech exhausted but very happy. If you are doing this trip we advise a day or two to relax afterwards!! We would thoroughly recommend Discover Sahara Tours and loved the fact that they could bespoke the tour for us. Thank you Rene & Ismail!

A trip made by the people - I went on a 2-day trip to Zagora desert and the highlight of the entire experience was our driver and guide, Ismael.

Sat in the front, Ismael was incredibly... read more friendly and talkative, happy to explain everything to do with Morocco from his perspective, and offered a really honest view of tourism, politics, the experience of people during the lack of rain, and more! Ismael is really funny and we made jokes throughout the journey, making it seem much shorter than it was.

Ismael showed us really interesting stops along our journey and has a great understanding of the land. He also worked well with the Berber people running out desert camp, who were all fantastic and really engaging.

I cannot recommend this enough- Discover Sahara Tours is Ismael's own business and he was so excited to give tourists his version of the desert experience! Here are some photos.

The trip took around 2h and half from... read more Marrakech to Essaouira. We did stop where is the goats in argan tree and also to the argan production shop to see how they transform the argan fruit to other products.
Then we arrived in Essaouira were our guide was waiting us. We had around 1h and half with him and he left us in the local restaurant. That’s the only thing that I didn’t like. Even though, food was good I preferred to chose the place I go to eat.
After this lunch stop, we had few hours by our selves to discover the city.
At 16:00 we met our driver to go back to Marrakech.
Before arriving Marrakech we did stop in a small local restaurant where you can have some drinks or go to toilet. Looks like all the tour company’s stop at the same restaurant.
In general it was really nice day tour and the service we’ve paid was worthy.
