Ismail is... read more a very nice guy, always smiling, sociable and likes to explain the information about cities and Moroccan culture. He is a really good driver and very respectful.
On the first day, we passed through the Atlas in direction to Ait-Ben-Haddou, where we had a tour visit with Said to know a little bit more about berbere culture. We ate an amazing chicken tagine there. Then we head to Zagora, where we had a team of Caravane du sud waiting for us with the dromedaries. We had a 1h ride on the dromedary accompanied by our friendly guide, Mohammed, to our camp. We arrived just on time to watch a magical sunset in the desert. We chose a luxury camp, that was absolutely amazing, with a tent with all the commodities that we could need. The tent was heated, with carpets on the floor, beds for all of us, and private toilets with shower. We had dinner on a tent restaurant, with really good and traditional food. At night all the guests reunited around the bonfire listening typical music and dancing. The sky is absolutely amazing and perfect to see the stars. On the next day we watched the sunrise in the mountains (after a nice breakfast). Then we returned with Ismail back to Marrakech, with a stop in Ouarzazate and Middle Atlas.
Ismail was a really nice company, and made this experience unique! I felt very safe during the trip, and Ismail always let us comfortable to choose which places to visit during the trip.
All the organization made this experience even more pleasant. It was also richer to know more about Moroccan culture and discuss the differences between European culture.
Really recommend this experience.

p.s. just be careful riding the dromedary.

We were picked up in Marrakech, made numerous stops at interesting points along the drive to Zagora (where we spent the first night). The hotel we stayed at was really lovely and secluded.

Then the highlight was the excursion to Erg Chegaga. Mohammad had the great idea to do a picnic in the Sahara rather than another restaurant lunch. So we stopped at a butcher and bought lamb chop and grilled them on our own in the middle of the Sahara!

The accommodations at Erg Chagaga were lovely. As was the camel riding and star gazing at night.

My only recommendation to a future traveler is go for longer than 3 days/2 nights if you can. I wish I had had at least 1 more day in the desert.

One of the highlights was the quad ride back from the desert camp. It was a fantastic experience that allowed us to explore the higher dunes and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the desert landscape. We highly recommend this (extra paying) option for anyone visiting!

Making forever friends in the desert - Simply put, an amazing experience. The stops on our way to Erg Chebbi were beautiful and awe-inspiring. The accommodations were great and all the staff we met along the way... read more were wonderful. And the dunes were epically beautiful, I didn't want to leave.

The history and landscapes were amazing, but our guide-turned-BFF, Mohamed took the experience to the next level. He was such a kind and generous person. We instantly became friends and this trip wouldn't have become what it was without him. He was funny and fun loving. As a Berber nomad himself growing up, his personal stories helped us understand what life in the desert is like. He didn't just take us places, he actively joined in on our experience and it made everything so much more fun and wonderful.

I will miss the vistas, red sand and sunsets, but more than anything I will miss spending time with Moha. It's rare to make friends of this caliber in real life, let alone on a four day tour. Shukran Habibi. Till we meet again.
